WIN – TWEEDL have put together an opportunity for one extremely lucky winner to attempt a Macnab in absolute style in the peak of the season and with some luxuries along the way.

This trip will take place on the 12th, 13th & 14th of September 2021.

Our winner with a guest of their choice will make their way to the St Andrews Fairmont 5 star hotel in Scotland on the 12th of September where they will spend their first night with dinner, bed and breakfast covered by us. The following day you will be picked up by SandGrouse Travel & their pilot in a Bell Long Ranger Helicopter which will be your mode of transport for the entire day!

The first stop is the river Tay on the Kercock beat which is a part of the Glen Prosen Estate, roughly 20 minutes helicopter ride from your accommodation. Here you will meet Magnus from MCT Sporting who will be your guide for the day, he will sort you out with any equipment you may need which will be arranged well in advance of the trip taking place. The Kercock is a fantastic stretch of the river Tay and should supply you with fantastic chances of completing the first element of your Macnab – catching a Scottish Salmon.

From the river you will hop back in your helicopter and head to the Highlands to the Glen Prosen Estate in Kirriemuir where our winner will attempt to complete elements 2 & 3 of their Macnab.

Firstly a brace of Grouse, we have chosen the date with your chances of completing this in mind and Grouse especially should be in fantastic numbers at this time of year on the Glen Prosen Estate. You will have chance at shooting your brace over pointers on the gorgeous moors on the estate.

Once you’ve completed this element and Champagne lunch will be provided sat amongst your helicopter on the top of the highlands in the most jaw dropping scenery.

Then you will head out with the estate guides to stalk a highland Red Stag to complete your epic adventure of the classic Macnab. With a bit of luck on your side you will become one of a very small group of people to successfully complete the amazing feat of the classic Macnab!

After many pictures and champagne you will then take off from the hill in your helicopter and head back to the 5 star Fairmont Hotel for a dram of whiskey and a cigar before dinner to celebrate an amazing day in the field… and sky!

But in true TWEEDL fashion it doesn’t stop there! the following day the 14th you and your guest will get to spend the day in the hotels 5 star spa complex and unwind from the previous days sport!

Whether you are a complete beginner to all elements of the Macnab is does not matter, we have all the equipment and knowledge you will need. We’ve included 2 nights stay at the Fairmont hotel.

As with every TWEEDL fieldsports prize each winner will receive a TWEEDL Schoffel Gilet, a 2 year subscription to both the Fieldsports Journal and the Gundog Journal and a full 12 month membership with the GWCT (Game Wildlife & Conservation Trust) plus a bottle of TWEEDL gin!
